About Mrs. Daugherty

I was born and raised in beautiful southwest Florida, and love all that it has to offer! When I’m not teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My husband, Tyler, and I have three beautiful children. Our daughter Bella is entering her second year in college this year, Dahlia is in 8th grade, and my little dude, Jasper is in 6th grade at RMA! We have a feisty little rescue dog named Moose, a 3 month old Golden-doodle named Mango, some fish, and a whole lot of crazy! Needless to say, there is never a dull moment at our house!

One of my favorite things to do is spend time on the water. We spend a lot of time at the beach, going boating, fishing/lobstering/scalloping, or lounging at the pool. To me, there is nothing better than being on the water! I also enjoy traveling and am not picky about the destination!

I earned my B.A. degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa and my M.A. in Teaching from USF in Sarasota. I have ESOL, Gifted, and Middle School Social Studies endorsements. This is my sixteenth year of teaching. I worked in Sarasota County for four years teaching 4th grade. I have spent the past twelve years as part of the Rowlett family on the 4/5 loop.
