Is the REA Office Open this Summer?

Rowlett Elementary Academy is currently operating on summer hours with limited staff.  The front office will be open from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Thursday. We are closed for vacation from June 22nd through July 5th.

When is Open House / Parent University? Saturday, August 8th.

Tentative Schedule

9:00 - Childcare registration
9:30 - 9:55 Welcome Presentation
10:00 - 10:40 Session 1
10:45 - 11:25 Session 2
11:30 - 12:10 Session 3
12:10 - 1:00 Lunch (for PU attendees)
12:30 - 2:30 Open House - Visit classrooms/teacher, drop off supplies, etc.

 

When does school begin in the Fall?

School resumes on Monday, August 10th.

 

When will I receive my child's 25-26 FAST Test Scores?

You can access your child's scores via the Family Portal on the FAST website. For your child's ACCESS code, please reach out to your child's teacher.

 

Are there any summer assignments for my 26-26=7 student?

Please “sharpen your saw” this summer! We encourage your child to read a good book or two! You may also wish to check out some of the learning resources available on our Just for Kids page. 

 

How can I review my child's report card?

Report Cards will be posted to the FOCUS Parent Portal on June 3rd.

What are the 26-27 School Hours?

8:15AM - 3:05PM.

 

When will I find out my child's 26-27 teacher?

Because schedules are currently a "work in progress," we are not fielding any requests or changes at this time. Your child’s teacher will reach out to you by July 31st.

 

How can I register for bus service for 26-27?

The deadline to request bus service has passed. If you are still interested in 26-27 bus service, we invite you to complete the Stand-By Registration Form. Please submit a separate registration for EACH student who will require bus service. If you have any questions about this process, please reach out to our Transportation Coordinator, Nilda Belardo.

 

Can I register my child for Before and/Or After Care for 26-27?

Registration will be on our website later this summer.

 

Is it still possible to enroll my student for the 26-27 school year?

While our primary application window has closed for the coming school year, we do have a "last chance" tour available in July! Sign-up here.

 

What are the Uniform Requirements?

Where can I purchase uniforms?

We work with vendors such as Manatee Apparel or Lands' End (School Number: 900139031). If ordering from Manatee Apparel, you may wish to order 3-4 weeks before the desired receipt of items. You may also purchase your own items via the store of your choice as long as they follow our requirements and have the patches applied as needed. 

 

I want to purchase patches for polo shirts I've purchased. Can I come to the school office?

Yes, you may stop by during our Summer Hours. Patches are $3 each and may be purchased with cash or check made payable to Rowlett Academy. Credit cards are accepted for transactions of $10 or more.

 

Do I need to submit an application for Free/Reduced Meals for 26-27?

This application will be made available later in July. More information about our Cafeteria can be found here. 

 

What supplies will I need to provide for my student in 26-27?

Our general supply lists are available on our website. You may wish to wait until you receive your class assignment if there are multiple lists for your child’s grade level.

 

How can I connect to Bloomz (School Messaging Application)?

Invites for 26-27 will be shared later in the Summer. Please stand-by. Invites will be shared with the emails/phone numbers we have on file for you in FOCUS. In the meantime, keep an eye on our school website or Parent Facebook Group for updates.

 

I want to remove myself from the Bloomz messaging application. How can I do that?

There is a chance we might need to message our 25-26 families via Bloomz over the summer. For that reason, will not be "removing" families until we are ready to upload the 26-27 information. If you wish to remove yourself prior to that date later this summer, you may follow these steps.

 

I'd like to learn more about Parent-Student requirements... How can I learn more?

We invite you to review the Parent-Student Handbook for 25-26. The 26-27 update is forthcoming.

I want to sign-up for Rowlett Family Association committees. Can I still help out?

Yes! Please complete our online interest form.

 

Are 26-27 Yearbooks still available for purchase?

A limited number of hardcover books are still available for $30 at the front desk.
