The Rowlett Governing Board is currently accepting resumes and letters of interest for potential Board Members.
Ideal candidates believe in supporting Rowlett's Mission:
To provide a high-quality educational experience for all students that will foster leadership and a love of learning for a diverse population by promoting creativity through arts and communication.
Other desired skills and attributes:
- Visionary- great interest in supporting the future success of Rowlett Academy students.
- Legal, financial, and/or business work experience.
- Strong desire to protect the Rowlett Culture
- Open-minded thinker
Candidates do not need to be a Rowlett parent.
Board Member Expectations:
1. Complete the mandatory 4-hour State training within the first 90 days.
2. Attend all regularly scheduled and Emergency Board meetings, usually monthly.
3. Commit to an initial 3-year term.
4. Stay current on topics affecting Charter Schools in Florida
