About Mrs. Daugherty
I was born and raised in beautiful southwest Florida, and love all that it has to offer! When I’m not teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My husband, Tyler, and I have three beautiful children. Our daughter Bella is entering her third year in college, Dahlia is in 10th grade, and my not-so-little dude, Jasper is in 8th grade at RMA! We have a feisty little rescue dog named Moose, an almost 1 year old black lab named Willow, some fish, and a whole lot of crazy! Between the people, pets, and competitive soccer and cheer, there is never a dull moment at our house!
One of my favorite things to do is to be on the water. We spend a lot of time going boating, fishing/lobstering/scalloping, unless there are soccer/cheer games or tournaments! I also enjoy traveling and am not picky about the destination! My family is so important to me, I'm blessed to work with my sister every day and have my mom as a neighbor!
I earned my B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida in Tampa and my M.A. in Teaching from USF in Sarasota. I have ESOL, Gifted, and Middle School Social Studies endorsements. This is my 17th year of teaching. I worked in Sarasota County for four years teaching 4th grade, and this will be my 13th year as part of the Rowlett family on the 4/5 loop.
