Butterfly Garden

The butterfly garden is dedicated to Kaye Carlson, Ms. Meg Carlson’s mother, a former Rowlett teacher. The initial startup funds were a donation from Mrs. Carlson. Mrs. Duthie and Mrs. Trujillo expanded the garden with the help of their enrichment group. Most recently, the Averill family added an herb garden and a vegetable garden. The garden has also been a focus for our Beautification Days!

Rowlett is always looking for volunteers to assist with the garden. Donations of native butterfly-friendly plants are welcome.
