Spanish Program

Our Spanish Language Program combines the best of bilingual education for non-English and English speaking students.

 

Program Goals

1. Building fluency in Spanish through grades KG - 5th.

2. Lay the groundwork for future study of the Spanish Language.

3. Acceptance and appreciation of other cultures while providing a positive attitude towards their peers, families, and communities.

4. All children are expected to participate/collaborate in class, orally and with written work to build basic Spanish skills.

All children in regular classrooms receive instruction with a language teacher multiple times per week (Alternating A/B schedules).
"Español para tí" and the "Viva el Español" curricula are used as a foundation for the Spanish program.
