Goals and Objectives

 All lessons, activities, challenges, and projects will be based on the National Standards for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and the Frameworks, Goals, and Objectives for Gifted Learners.

 

  • Create, adapt, and assess multifaceted questions.
  • Critically examine different fields of knowledge.
  • Conduct thoughtful research and exploration.
  • Think creatively and critically to identify and solve real world problems.
  • Assume both leadership and participatory roles.
  • Set and achieve personal and academic goals.
  • Develop and deliver a variety of authentic products.

 

We will be learning to increase our critical and creative thinking skills, use The Engineering Design process, inquiry learning, and methods of research to increase our ability to solve problems.  Our Themes this year are Architecture and Robotics! 

 

Discovery WIG

As Discovery students, we will use our critical and creative thinking skills to solve problems using STEAM, the Engineering Design Process, the Scientific Method and Maker-space Challenges. We will do our best to  be kind and caring leaders among our peers.
